No Surprises Act
In compliance with the No Surprises Act that went into effect January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to notify clients of their federal rights and protections against any "surprise billing."
This Act requires that Wunderlich Counseling & Consulting Ltd. notify you of your federally protected rights to receive a notification when services are rendered by an out-of-network provider, if a client is uninsured, or if a client elects not to use their insurance to pay for services, including any Professional Counseling services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including Professional Counseling services. It is difficult to determine the true length of treatment for mental health care and each client has a right to decide how long they would like to participate in mental health services. Therefore, if you request, your Good Faith Estimate will include a fee schedule for the services offered by your Counselor and we will collaborate with you on a regular basis to determine how many sessions you may need or desire.
You can request a Good Faith Estimate from your Counselor at Wunderlich Counseling & Consulting Ltd. before you schedule an appointment or at any time during the tenure of your treatment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400.00 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. Please always keep a copy of any Good Faith Estimate you receive.
If you have any other questions or need additional information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate or how to dispute a bill, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
